Inside Madonna’s wardrobe

The Life & Style section of The Times Online anticipates the Simply Madonna exhibition that opens at the Old Truman Brewery, London E1, on February 21 with an interesting piece by Lisa Armstrong.

The article explains how – from New York club kid to Evita – Madonna’s reinventions have been at the centre of her success and looks at her most famous garments – with Lisa considering the semiotics of those bras, bustiers and sequins, including the Material Girl outfit from 1985, the looks in the Sex book, 1992, thr Evita wardrobe, 1996, Music and American Pie from year 2000, and the Re-Invention Tour, 2004.
