Great Tour Services for Madonna
Eighth Day Sound (Highland Heights, Ohio) is carrying 40 channels of Sennheiser wireless equipment on Madonna‘s Sticky & Sweet tour with the Sennheiser SKM 5200 vocal microphones and G2 personal wireless monitoring systems. “Madonna’s tour is exceptionally demanding,” says Owen Orzack, director of touring services. “We are very happy to have Sennheiser’s frequency agility and rock-solid reliability. Moreover, Sennheiser provides timely support with frequency coordination.”
The company has similar Sennheiser packages on tour with George Michael, Duran Duran, Death Cab For Cutie, Kanye West, Rihanna, The Raconteurs, O.A.R. and many others. In recent years, project manager Jason Kirschnick noticed that more and more of these high-profile tours were requesting Sennheiser’s G2 personal wireless monitoring systems. “I’m not surprised,” he says. “Their frequency selection is great and, crucially, the sound is beautiful. Artists can wear them night after night without fatigue.”
