Did she really just say that?!

30th June, 2001 marked Madonna’s final Drowned World show in the French capital, and it also provided one of her most spectacular vocal mistakes which anyone there will remember with a mix of shock and surprise.

For, during the darkly personal track ‘Mer Girl‘ Madonna managed to mess up the lyrics and sang:

“I ran from my house that cannot contain me
From the man that I cannot keep
From my daughter who haunts me, even though she’s gone
From my mother that never sleeps”

The worrying thing is it seemed pretty clear from the front row, that she didn’t even notice her mistake!
