• Cheers, I am going to say “I Want You” is my favourite song. Although I love so many songs from Madonna, it’s really artificial for me to pick one, it just depends on the mood and need at the time. I chose this song because the lyrics have helped me many times, reminding me of the right mindset I want to be in right now, containing a very good lesson I never get anywhere else. All of Madonna‘s greatest songs are filled with the right lyrics and best lessons and motivating because of the complete art. Without the lyrics and artist, the full song, Madonna singing, it would not have the full power that it does as music. I admire the resolve I hear in that song, the love I hear in it.
Love U Madonna

• It seems like a lot of Madonna fans have a favorite Madonna song due to some life changing event, catastrophe, or emotional moment. For some reason, I don’t. My “one song” pick simply comes from pure excitement! I remember the very first time I heard “Ray of Light“. This was before you could download full albums prior to their release date, which made the release date so much more exciting!
I had to drive about 30 minutes north of where I lived at the time to buy her new album. This was fine with me, because it would give me time on the drive back to listen to it. So, when I finally popped it in my CD player…the first few tracks went by, they were pretty good…but then “Ray of Light” started. Wow! My heart started to race, I got a bit teary eyes, and I put the pedal to the medal! This track made me zoom zoom down the highway, singing along instantly, and I barely knew the words yet! I had goosebumps all over my body – I have never got this excited about any song prior to this very moment. It was amazing!
Oh, oh…then the maxi-single came out, I believe only a few weeks later. Believe me, the remixes made me jam just as hard as the original – I think I may have blown a speaker in my car! The anticipation for a new Madonna album is always so great, and when something like “Ray of Light” happens, she truly delivers on this anticipation and excitement!
