Some more on Madonna by Julien D’Ys

The first copies of the Madonna by Julien D’Ys limited edition cahier have started to be delivered to those who ordered the book by email or fax from the Colette bookstore last week. We’ve just got our copy in, so here’s a few more details about this very interesting collector’s item for all those who asked about it.

The “cahier” is very similar to the Re-Invention Tour programme, and it looks like its ideal completer. It has a soft cover, is slightly smaller than the tourbook and is also very similar in both quality of paper and print. The size is indeed 350 x 270 but with its 48 pages the book is only 5 mm thick – not 50 as stated on the Colette e-shop.

Along with the now famous Madonna polaroids, the book gives a unique insider look at the making of the Re-Invention Tour through personal notes and sketches by d’Ys, and also features some of the dancers rehearsing.

This limited edition is not numbered and comes sealed in a transparent plastic bag.
