Now that Madonna has announced her RE-INVENTION TOUR 2004, this 20-year long love affair with her will soon be consummated. But there is one big obstacle to deal with: deciding on which city to watch and GETTING THE TICKETS.

This journey started when Madonna officially announced here 2004 Tour last March 22 with a relatively short listing of cities. I was surprised to see only two cities in Europe (London and Paris) included but much more in North America. No other continent was on the list.

I am still waiting for Cologne, Germany to be announced because I just live a few tram stations away from the Köln Arena, but this has not yet happened. In the meantime, fans and I watch the other shows being sold out one after another. The ticket selling was so quick that it took about 10 to 90 minutes before the shows sold out. Just imagine about 250,000 people trying to get into a website all at the same time. This is the actual number estimated to be still waiting for a ticket after about 18,000 had been sold for a show in London’s Earl Court. With all this hysteria happening around you, it was time to take some serious action to get myself some tickets!

A friend called from LA asking me to buy tickets for them for Madonna’s launching show in California on May 24. That was weird since I myself had no idea how to get my tickets and I now have to be responsible for tickets of people who lived in another continent. But I also saw this as a good exercise to prepare myself for when I would have to buy my own. It was also explained to me that all them in LA are at work when the tickets go on sale at 10AM on March 23. Germany is 10 hours ahead of the US east coast so it would already be way beyond working hours on my side of the world. I also believe that I was chosen to do that for a purpose, these are friends from the 80s whom I have shared all those Madonna music and dancing with, it would not be the same if I would not be able to take part in such a major Madonna-event.

Most tickets are now sold on-line. It is not like before anymore where your endurance to spend an overnight waiting in line for a ticket booth to open was enough, now it has a lot to do with the technology and information that you have on hand. It is knowing at which websites the tickets are being sold, which companies and phone numbers to contact, and how fast your digital connection is, whether the internet or telephone.

The trick is to know which sites are selling and one has to really prepare in advance. One should register to the ticketing company where you give details such as e-mail, mailing address and a password. Next is to practice navigating through the pages of the website to determine how quickly you can go through the process and to find out what other information is required (such as a credit card ID which I never new existed before) and which choices and buttons to select. It is also wise to know the number of your credit card and the expiration date before hand. This is necessary because one?s quickness is directly proportional to the success of getting good tickets.

I logged in the ticketing site about an hour before the actual sale and would refresh the page every so often. I saw myself sitting and waiting, flexing my fingers and going through a selected number of Madonna websites for real-time updates on the status of the sales.

When the time came all I had to do was click on the purchase button and move smoothly through to the next pages. Because of the volume of people doing the same thing, it took some time, in fact three minutes until you get a page confirming that you have indeed succeeded. Three minutes is not that long considering that all tickets got sold in 17 minutes. So yes I was able to buy four second-category tickets for friends in LA and I am so happy and proud that I was able to do it. I listened to the Immaculate Collection CD right after that to rejoice. But it made me feel shoddy since the situation for me was still uncertain.

A few days later I had to decide where to watch the concert. Since at this point Cologne was not announced yet, Paris was the destination to be. It is only four hours by car from Cologne and my sister, who lives in The Hague, offered to bring her car. The tickets were cheaper in France than in the UK or the US. And of course, who could resist Paris – every chance you get to visit that city is not to be turned back on.

Now it is time to use the skills that I have acquired from my previous purchase in the US and do the same for Paris and even be better and quicker. The time arrived when the Paris tickets were on sale from a ticketing agency for Europe. After putting myself into a relaxed and focused state I was anticipating the successful purchase soon.

To my horror, the website which I practiced navigating thoroughly a day earlier was off-line 1.5 hours before the ticket were supposed to go on sale. It was explained later that due to the high volume of traffic, the site crashed and they decided to sell the tickets exclusively by phone. This was a disaster because you could not even call the numbers provided because the lines were totally congested. The tickets got sold out within 30 minutes even with a second show announced. At the end of that day, I was not able to get anything. But there was hope: they announced an extra show and the tickets were going to be on sale the following day.

I was also considering other options, my friend from LA offered to give up one of their tickets so that I can watch the show with them in LA. Another is to buy tickets for some other shows in the US which were not yet on sale and fly there for the concert. There was still a show at London?s Wembly Stadium which was still not on sale, considering that London is only an hour?s flight away. There were also these websites selling tickets for up to $3,000 each. Other options included e-bay or a tour operator from The Netherlands who is taking pre-bookings for package bus tour. None seemed that encouraging. As a safety net, I ended up booking a ticket through an agency in Germany who was a middleman for concert tickets. However, giving them a call revealed that the company could not actually assure anyone of the tickets paid for – but said that they will be refunded just in case no tickets arrived. By the way, they even charge 80 Euro more for each ticket. I ended up not paying for this booking, the reason of which will be evident soon.

I was a little bit more prepared on the second day of the Paris ticket sales after the disaster of the first day. I was more determined than ever to make it work this time. This was going to be the third show in Paris and I really needed luck for this. I had been checking chat rooms and other websites for tips. I also found another smaller and less advertised website that will sell tickets. With me was a list of all the possible phone numbers to call, the military alphabet for easy relaying of information and a list of the French numbers with their proper pronunciations just in case the person on the other end of the line could not speak any other language than French.

As expected the main ticket website was again offline 1.5 hours before the sale and all the telephone lines were busy. Still trying these options desperately, I focused on this one other website where the tickets won?t be on sale for another half an hour. When the time came, I quickly clicked on the purchasing selections and immediately saw the browser move slower and slower, the fonts and colors were even not displaying properly on the screen anymore. But I still managed to move from one page to another. Then I made a mistake of ordering two tickets instead of three (for me, my wife and my sister). At this point, the website was getting more difficult to browse. Despite this, I was still able to click on another set of three tickets. The thing to do now is to cancel the first order and move on to the billing page. This proved to be impossible at this point so I just moved on quickly to the next page and filled out the billing page for five tickets for more than Euro800. The billing page was also not forgiving. After five minutes of a perceived hanging, the screen just went blank and an error page showed up. I kept my calm and said to myself that I should just try again from the beginning. But the whole site was now inaccessible.

To my delight, a mail suddenly arrived on my mailbox confirming the purchase of five category 1 tickets for the Madonna Re-Invention Tour in Bercy, Paris. This was such a happy moment but I still have the problem of the extra two tickets. I called up the ticket company only to be informed that I could not cancel my first order and was advised to just take all five tickets even if a maximum of four tickets were allowed per person.

By the way, I had to skip work for 1.5 days just to do all of these crazy things, totally irritated my wife and suffered from anxiety and sleeplessness for the whole week.

Tickets got mailed to me a few days later. Now that I have my tickets, I feel that I am finally given the key to be able to see Madonna LIVE after all these years. I just pray and hope that Madonna does show up for this date to consummate this affair. Yet, I am not totally complacent, anything could still happen between now and September 4.

I’ve never seen Madonna concert before in my life. It’s because she had never been to Thailand, I just want to tell her that there are lots of her fans there and they all love her, I know it’s a small country for her tour to set a place in Thailand but anyway. When she did her Girlie Show, I was very young, about 10-11 yrs old, and I remembered that I hate her so much, when I saw a picture of her dancing sexually w/male dancers in the song “Fever“, I really want to puked cuz it was so sexual, but surprisingly, I am 22yrs old now and I am a big Madonna fan, it strange that my life can change dramaticlly, and today I got a tour ticket in California, I can’t wait to go, the ticket is expensive but is it worth it? Fuck yes!
For the woman that I hated and disgusted so much when I was a child can now be my hero, icon, idol and role model, it’s worth every $ of it, I grew up now so as Madonna, we all reinvented ourselve, am I right?

When I first arrived to this country back in 1988, I was sadly dissapointed when I found out that Madonna launched the American leg of the Who’s That Girl tour right in my backyard. Then came the news that she would embark in another world tour, the aptly titled Blond Ambition. I was left in shocked when my hometown was not included. I was patient until her next tour, The Girlie Show. This time I was mad, because I could not believe she had left Miami out of her map again, when a year before she was running freely and naked on our streets and on the beach during the shooting of the Sex book. Eight years passed until the Drowned World tour was announced, I was delighted about the news when she scheduled two dates in South Florida. Tickets sold out in a heartbeat and I was left with none. I couldn’t believe, with all the money I’d saved up for this event. I was lucky to snatch a ticket when it was released. It was my only chance to see her for the very first time. It was not the greatest seat, but I couldn’t had not asked for more. The show was a day before her b-day so when Guy came up on stage with a cake and we all sang happy b-day, that made it even more special.
Now with the Re-Invention tour with no much money to spend, terribly missing my boyfriend, just by getting tickets for the first two annouced shows pretty much made my year. A few days later she added two more shows, wow I am going bananas where I would get the money to afford all 4 shows. I got me a second job, painful but worth it. Thank you Madonna for always cheering me up.

I never really thought this could happen and I sure didn’t expect it. I was supposed to go the last time she toured but something very unexpected happened. My parents found out I was gay.
By then, I was 22 years old and I was living with them. It hit them so hard that they grounded me. This of course meant no Madonna. I felt crushed. 3 years later, a family much well healed, a very admired artist on the road and a ticket that cost US$300.00! Preassure was on due to the fact that I live in the carebbean and I have to fly myself to the nearest venue (Miami), I even e mailed Oprah to help me out.
Not much of a risk taker but I called up my friend and told him to get us the closest seats to the stage. Not bad really, we got section four on the American Airlines Arena! Looks I will see her live after all before I go to a next life.

The re-invention tour 2004 will be my 5th Madonna tour!

I’m from France.

I’m a live shows goer, I’m going to see minimum 10 concerts a year, but through the years, starting when I was 15, I always went to her shows which I consider the coolest!

in 1987, I went to The Who’s that girl tour in Le Parc de Sceaux, the crowd was huge : 130 000! the screens were out but fortunately I was close enough to watch and listen to everything. The show itself wasn’t so good cos too huge but I was so excited, I couldn’t stop smiling!

In 1990, I went to see the Blond Ambition Tour twice! This was a completely unique experience for me, I felt I understood every part of it, especially the “Like a prayer” (redemption) to “Oh father” (rejection) parts! I really loved it!

In 1993, The Girlie Show! I went 3 times in Paris and once in Tel Aviv!!! It was so special. While I was in israel, things were so different. Madonna was walking outside in the streets completely cool. She was really relaxed and nice.

The DWT 2001 was another story, I went 4 times to watch the show in Paris. The mood was darker, the show was as well! the thing I understood then was that every show is a different Madonna. Close or cold, smart or silly,… she’s playing different characters amazingly weel and manage to never be cheap!

This time, I just hope the statement she’s about to make isn’t about her re-inventing herself to someone who’s ending her career as a performer… that’s it!

My tour memories begin in 1993 with the Girlie Show at Wembley Stadium – proud to say that I was at the opening night of that tour, does anyone remember waiting outside Wembley that saturday afternoon (25/09/93) and hearing Madonna soundcheck, she sang bits of Fever, Vogue, La Isla Bonita and nearly all of Rain, everyone outside was singing along and the atmosphere was electric, I was only 15 then. Got right to the front and was nearly crying when she came up and sang Erotica, does anyone remember what the boyz 2 men type band were called that supported her……

….I was gutted in 2000 when she played Brixton as I managed to score a ticket through a friend at Capital FM however I was on holiday in Mexico and my partner refused to cancel the holiday or go without me, so begrudgingly I gave up my ticket kepping my fingers crossed that she would tour the next year or I would have to murder my partner…

..and tour she did, got tickets for the last 3 nights at Earls Court in July 2001, amazing show and the only dissapointment for me was that I couldn’t get down to the front to dance. Highlights were Ray Of Light and Nobodys Perfect for me…

..then last year I made plans to spend 2004 in Sydney, with the release of American Life I was confident a tour would follow but was also confident that Sydney would figure in her plans, she left us out down here at the arse end of the world and so im blowing a fortune flying to New York and going to the last 3 Madison Square Garden gigs – on my own!!!!!!.

Its madness when I think about it but I would be sooooo gutted if I missed out, if anyone wants to hook up in NYC to have a gossip about Madonna and maybe show me the sights then please get in touch with me bobbee296@hotmail.com

I was 14, and I stood in line for 6 hours back in 1990 for tickets to the Blond Ambition Tour In Philadlphia.
I was about 15th in line, and at 10am I got my tickets for the show.
Really decent section 225 row 2, near the stage.
3 months later was the day before the show…Madonna Cancels the first Philadlphia show, luckily I had tickets to the sencond show!
Avoiding the cancelation drama, I was happy as could be, and on my way to Philadelphia to the show, and we got caught in traffic, which is normal for a concert .
While waiting in traffic, a man scalping tickets came up to the car, and offered my aunt (who was my company for the show) the tickets.
She refused, saying we already had tickets.
He asked what section, and my aunt said 225, the man said “well these tickets are much closer than section 225, and for $50.00 I will switch tickets for you”, my aunt asked me if I had $50.00 and I said yes, but it was all the money I had, and I was going to buy a tour program and a snack at the concert, but she assured me that the closer tickets were worth it, and I could get a tour book later.
I was reluctant, but agreed, and she made the exchange.

We get to the arena, and showed our tickets, and the lady said, “let me look these up”, she goes to a chart, and said “ok” section “it looks like the 08 has worn off, you are in section 408a”

It turned out that the scalper took our great tickets, and charged us $50.00 (insult to injury) to give us the most far, most obstructed view in the whole building. We were as far away from the stage, all the way up, all the way to the back of the arena!

Let me just say to this day I still get a little sick at the whole situation, but again, I could have been one of the fans who didn’t go because of the cancelation the night before.

Anyway…that’s my story!

Two days before I left to Orlando, Florida for a mini vacation and to celebrate my 30th birthday I found out from Madonnatribe that ICON would be offering tickets for ICON members on the 23rd of March. As soon as I found out, I tried the ICON website, and to my disappointment I couldn’t log in. Somehow ICON had not added me to their database and everytime i tried to log in I would get error messages. I got into my email and contacted ICON about 6 times, and they still did not respond to my email. When I went to work that day, I tried for the last time and when I got home they had sent me an email with details about logging in to the site with my username and password. What a relief!!! All through the day I thought I would never be able to get through to them, and that I would not be able to see Madonna this time around. I was finally able to sleep a good sleep that night!!! So, I got up early the next and went to this nail salon with a close friend to have a pedicure and manicure, and I couldn’t wait to get home to sit down on my computer to try to get tickets for the Toronto show. I got home at 11:30 and the tickets would be going on sale at noon, so I was one of the first ones ready to get my hands on these babies. 12 o’clock came and I was sitting down on my computer typing and clicking away nervously excited, shivering like someone had thrown me in an ice-cold shower. I input all the info, and I got all excited at the end when the message accross the screen read “processing your order.” When i saw this message I thought I had secured the tickets, but unfortunately after a while the screen went blank, no confirmation number, no seats #s, no row #s, no email confirmation from ICON. It was a total waste of my day, and I was almost sure that I would not see Madonna this time.
So the next day I took my flight to Orlando and spent an awesome 4 days there, and arrived back in Syracuse, NY that Saturday night. After a hell of a night out in Syracuse with my friends, I woke up sunday morning with a headache out of this world and barely walking, but made it to my computer to check more info on the Re-Invention Tour. I found out again that tickets for some venues would go on sale to the general public on the 29th, and that this time I would either try for Philladelphia or the Worcester. They’re the same distance from Syracuse as Toronto, and I thought maybe I would have a better chance trying ticketmaster. So 29th came, and at 10 a.m. I was on ticketmaster.com searching for tickets to Worcester. First time I tried, it said tickets were not available because I had selected the wrong field (have no clue what I did). Then I changed my options, and minute later I had landed two $150 tickets to Madonna Re-Invention Tour in Worcester on the 27th of June, in the Lower Section 103, Row H, Seats 12 and 13. It was something inexplicable, and I will never forget. I grabbed my cell phone and called my friend at work to let him know that I had finally secured tickets to Madonna’s tour. In 2001 we saw her at the Garden for her Drowned World Tour, and we loved it immensely. I am Madonna’s biggest fan, and he is Janet’s biggest fan, but he gets excited when he sees Madonna‘s concerts because, of course, Madonna’s concerts are always different. Janet’s tours are the same every time she tours, though I shouldn’t be writing this just in case he gets tor read this and I won’t be able to go with him to Janet’s upcoming tour.
So, enough of my babbling at the troubles and excitement of getting the Re-Invention Tour tickets. I will see you on the 27th of June in Worcester, Madonna……Love you forever, your greatest fan

I had the chance to see Madonna live in 1987 in Paris (Parc de Sceaux), I was one among 120.000 hysterical people and I was in the first raws.
I saw the Blond Ambition tour three times in Bercy, the girlie show three times in Bercy and the drowned world tour four times also in Bercy.
This time It was so difficult to get some tickets, internet sites out of order, FNAC and Virgin sold out in minutes.
For the first time I had the fear that I could not see Madonna live again. But some friends succed to get one ticket for me for one show, I finally suceed to buy one at the FNAC for the second show and calling ticketnet.fr two days after the shows were sold out, they had places left (30) for the last night!

It was exhausting and frightening this time, but I wil be there for three Mad nights in Bercy !!!!!

My DWT experience was very special. We made the trek to Detroit from Toronto, a friend from Vancouver joined me. It started off with a special vibe because Sean and I had met nearly 10 years earlier in Detroit at the very first Madonna convention, and became the best of friends over the years since, so we thought of this trip as a bit of an anniversary. The night of the HBO taping (second night) we had seats in the 100 level, but for the first night we were WAY up in the 300’s. We got to our seats early, very excited. We were hanging around in the aisle warming up our dancing feet when we saw this guy approaching us, wearing crew badges and a walkie-talkie. Instantly I got nervous with the possibility. He asked us if we were ‘big’ Madonna fans, and if we knew all of the words to the songs, and IF we were up front, would we dance for the cameras panning the audience and give Madonna some energy?????? After nearly passing out we said yes, and he said Madonna had asked him to go ‘up high’ and pull some real fans down to the front, and he chose us!!! so we followed him down to the front… WAY up front – front row CENTER! The closer we got, the more nervous, the more excited. He gave us new tickets, said we were now guests of Madonna and she would know we were there, so to give her some thanks when she came out! It was all too much, we cried, we screamed, all that stuff. 2 people sitting next to us were also pulled from another part of the arena. Rosie O’donnel was broght next to us, but she moved around a lot taking pictures. The show began and I can’t describe how it felt – to be that close, expecially when you expected to be squinting to see her from the 300’s, was unreal. It wasn’t until Candy Perfume Girl that she looked or way, definitely making eye contact and smiling. During Don’t Tell Me the dancers were literally laughing at us for how excited we were. The best part came during La Isla Bonita, towards the end of the song, where M puts the guitar behind her back and steps towards the edge of the stage – she bent down and sang right at Sean and I, looking at us and smiling…
Describing it now, it doesn’t even feel real anymore, but it was. By the end of the show we were covered in sweat and tears, dead tired, and sat lingering for a while until it was obvious we were hanging around… THIS was the best Madonna concert I had ever been to in my life, and it made it all the more special that I was there with my ‘madonna-friend’ Sean.

Hi! Knowing how dreadful it was to obtain tickets for DWT, I said to myself that this time on this tour, I’m gonna try my very best. As I live in Croatia, where you have NO ticket agencies whatsoever, let alone agencies which would help you get a ticket for Madonna concert, I put my luck to the test joining ICON fan club.
Luckily, when the pre-sale started for London Earl’s Court show on the 18th, I managed to get 2 tickets. Later on, I managed to get 2 more tickets for the 2nd show at Earl’s Court. I can only say that I’m delighted as I’ve never ever seen Madonna live and I’ve been a fan for 15 years. I am now speechless and I can’t even think how I am going to react when I see her stepping on the stage. Funny thing is that a friend of mine who I am now going with to both concerts had an extra ticket for DWT Milan show which he didn’t even sell. We met just as he came back. All I can do now is to pray that no cancellations will occur and that my dream will finally be fullfilled. For those of you that still haven’t got your ticket, don’t lose faith, anything can happen, you just have to believe.

When I went to get my ticket on march 27th 2004 my day started with a wake up call at 5:30 AM.. and the usual check out madonnatribe.com , then I went and took a shower and the usual bathroom drab … soo then I was wondering on when I should go get in line for the ticket …. ( I WAS SOOO WORRIED ) soo I got dressed and hoped on the next bus to down town ( about 6:40 am ) then got off at 2 stops before the ticket master ( about 7:30am) then I basically ran to the ticket master thinking thers going to be a line up I was sooo nervous .. soo at about 9:00AM they started handing out tickets with #’s on them for line placement .. I was 6th … and when I got to the booth I was told by the guy infront of me .. that there wasn’t ANY more 300 hundred doller seats .. soo I told the girl as she already had a 90 $$ ticket up .. and I said NO I want the 300 ones after the third try I got my 31st row lflr floor seat… AND LETS JUST SAY I AM SOOOOOOOO HAPPPY AHHHHHHHHHHHH ciao guys thanks for reading

It’s been 17 years since I first saw Madonna and I still feel the same excitement knowing that I’m going to see her again! First time was in 1987 ‘Who’s That Girl‘ at Wembley stadium in London and I got my ‘o’ level results the same day! It was a beautiful day, but when we saw the famous ‘shadow’ on the screen at the start of ‘Open Your Heart‘ the whole crowd rushed forward and a total stranger took me in their arms and cried with me, just saying ‘I know, I know;’ tears ran down my face. It was incredible.

And now, I’ve just got my tickets for ‘Re-Invention‘ at Bercy, Paris, I have the same feeling – it’s amazing and you’ll never see anything like it in your lives.

She IS and She WILL BE forever THE best live performer. God Bless La Madonne – OUR MADONNA!

So this will be the 3rd and 4th time I’ve seen Madonna live. I’m soooo excited. The first time was at Roseland ballroom in 2000, and I was lucky enough to be one of the Mtv contest winners and met her. Dreams come true indeed.
Then I saw her on the Drowned World Tour in Oakland, CA , which was amazing. And no for the July 24 show, I went crazy and got the platnum package. I will be somewhere in the first 20 rows, maybe even the first row, and the VIP passes, I can’t even begin. Then the next next I’m going again, but this time I just got the cheap seats.
I’m so happy about this. I’ve loved her since day one, since the first album, when she started it all. And over the years I’ve grown up with her, and it’s nice to see that we’re both in a good place and where we should be.
I hope everyone has a wonderful time at the shows, and I hope everyone who wants to go is able to, because seeing Madonna take the stage is an experience that is unlike any other. Nick

I have been fortunate to see Madonna live three times (Blond Ambition, Girle Show, Drowned World) and with each concert, I always have some form of “drama” leading up to the event. This may be a bit long, so I apologize…

When I was 16 I borrowed my Aunt’s credit card and bought tickets to Blond Ambition in Detroit. I tried to get through on the phone for 1/2 hour, but I had to have them! Finally, I got them. I was elated! My 16 year old self was bouncing off the wall! Detroit here I come! The first show…. and then drama… A week later I was banned from using my mom’s car. It seems I was bad, and lied, and so, no car. How was I going to get to the Palace which was 75 miles away? My friend and I talked to an exchange student and convinced her to buy tickets. Our ride!! But just as things were looking up, Madonna cancelled a couple of shows because of her throat. “Oh please, don’t cancel Detroit” I prayed to whomever would listen. My first night ticket also got changed because the Piston’s were in the playoffs and needed the arena! GRR! Well, I saw the show (2nd night) which was a highlight, because this was the show she sang “Happy Birthday” to her dad! and I was there! AWESOME!
Fast forward to 1993. Weeks leading up to the annoucement Madonna was going on tour, I kept calling ticketmaster and the Palace box office to find out when tickets were going on sale. No luck! Finally one day I called and got the response “they went on sale yesterday and sold out in 90 minutes”. NO! I freaked out and looked through brokers wanting hundreds of dollars. Finally, I came across a stranger at work who had an extra ticket. A week later, it was MINE! Another awesome show! By then I was in college, and even wrote a paper about the show for my literature class. The assignment was to write a review of a “dramatic performance”. I reviewed “The Girlie Show” starring Madonna. Needless to say the professor did not agree. I made the argument for sets, costume, lighting, music, but alas she said I could take a “C” or find a new play. I took the C!!

And then 2001! By now I was living in northern California. But did I get tickets for San Francisco? No.. silly me bought the first show in LA tickets. So I made the 5 hour trek south to LA. I had some time to kill, so I went shopping at a mall. I was elated, in 2 hours I would be at the Staples Center seeing M. DRAMA…. a mild earthquake hit Los Angeles. The radio reported that the Madonna show may be postponed. NO! I thought. Well, I drove to the Staples Center to see all of Madonna’s fans gathering outside, awaiting for the doorsto open. It looked like the show would go on! AND IT DID… She kicked butt with this show. It was euphoric! I drove back that night making it home at about 4 AM. Of course 2 days later September 11 happened.

While the drama leading up to the shows has always been intense, I am have been blessed that I have made it to each show. And now, with re-Invention… I am hoping to once again, get through any upcoming drama… and partake in the experience of her show!!

You know, a Brazilian boy that came to Paris with a dream… and dreams come true!

When I came to Paris, I had two things in mind: know a different culture than the Brazilian one and see madonna live.

The first one, ok, I know French culture. The second one, well, I get tears in my eyes just on the thought of it.

I’ve been a Madonna fan ever since I was 10 years old. The first record I’ve bought was Erotica and the song that made me fall in love with her was Deeper And Deeper.

This week, a friend of mine bought the ticket for me and I finally put my hands on it yesterday. I thought I would faint! It has taken me ten years to finally have one of those babies.

It’s like, I’ve always dreamed of seeing Madonna in concert in all her glory. It is finally happening!

I’m finally getting a chance to see Madonna live for the first time..
I was not able to see her last tour, Drowned World, but I made sure that I saw her this time around by purchasing a V.I.P. platinum package.
I’m pretty sure that it will be worth the money and the wait. She may be “re-inventing” her big hits but she is still an icon to me, I’m estatic and cannot wait to see her! I hope everyone who is a big fan and who wanted to attend the show was able to get some tickets.

I was 20 when I saw Madonna in concert at the SkyDome in Toronto, Canada, on May 29, 1990 during the Blond Ambition World Tour.
What an experience !!!!!!! This was also the infamous concert which the Metro Toronto Police wanted to arrest Madonna for simulating sex onstage. I hadn’t heard about it until the next morning when I watched the Toronto news and found out what had happened backstage.
It was an INCREDIBLE concert !!!! The Blond Ambition Tour was the BEST tour of her entire career!!!!

Ok. So Madonna‘s touring, and who knows if she’ll ever do this again anytime soon. So I got excellent seats for the 1st night in New York through the ICON fan club.
So every year, through every Madonna Album, Song, Video, Movie, Book, Appearance, my obsession grows. So now I’ve become one of those fans who has to go to all of her shows in my area. I’ve managed to get tickets for every single night in NYC. I was contemplating getting a ticket for NJ, but decided against it (can you believe that?…me neither). But for 4 of the 6 nights, I got cheap seats at the tippy top of the arena for $60 bucks. I won’t be close to Madonna, but I’ll be closer to GOD. I guess that’s the NEXT BEST THING. Get it? HA!
So I’m so looking forward to screaming my lungs out and passing out if and when she sings BORDERLINE. That is my all time favorite Madonna song. Keep 911 on speed dial in your cell phones. If you see a crazy fan cry and then pass out…that’ll be me.

I was sixteen, and had been a huge fan of Madonna since age eleven. I bought two tickets in a state of great excitement, and persuaded a guy from work to come with me. I lived on the Isle of Wight at the time, and had never been to a big concert before, so had no idea what to expect. We travelled to Wembley by coach, then waited for hours to get in . We could hear the sound check as we waited, and people started screaming. I vividly remember being agog at all the girls who were dressed up in black lace and beads.

When we got into the stadium we had more hours of waiting. A madonna look alike appeared in one of the private boxes, and everyone went crazy. Technotronic were the support act, and weren’t very good.

Naturally I enjoyed the concert with every fibre of my being. I was enthralled from the very first moment I clapped eyes on her. I sang every word to every song and danced my little heart out. It was the best experience at a gig I have ever had. I was depressed for weeks afterwards, life was such an anti climax after that! I’m a bit more grown up now 🙂

It all began with the ticket process. An arduous process on many levels which I approached with perhaps one of the most unique and eccentric campaigns ever to be seen in the Madonna “ticket buying fan community”. Having never been fortunate enough to see Madonna on tour earlier, I decided that due to current circumstances the forthcoming “circus of ticketing” for the show would prove to be quite intimidating to me. However, never being someone who hides from things that are new or intimidating, I viewed it as yet another challenge. So, what did I do? As an ICON member of only one year I sat down in my little chair here in the garden state, and idealised a campain aimed at aquiring a single ticket for the show here in New York City. Having experienced my first true broken heart and a seemingly persistant black cloud that has continued to follow me, I came upon the concept of literally offering myself as a date for one lucky man (or woman… 😉 t o show me that true romance still exists in this world and bring me along as their date to one of the New York City shows. Of course many laughed, of course many raised eyebrows, but what was the most suprising thing was how many members within the Madonna fan community welcomed this strange yet hopeful concept as fresh, edgy, and even quite PT Barnum Like. So, after a few days of an open post “AN HOPELESS ROMANTICS OUT THERE WISHING TO TAKE THIS NJ GAL AND INTERNET PERSONALITY TO HER FIRST MADGE SHOW IN NYC, LET ME HEAR FORM YOU”, I was ambushed with offers from around the world. Ironically however, they were people offering a laugh and a smile that they got from reading about my very interesting proposal in terms of getting a Madonna seat for her upcoming tour.

Although this story may not have ended as I first set out to do, I did eventually obtain a ticket on JUNE 20th at Madison Square Garden in New York after hours upon hours of ticketmaster tiny clock hands tick, tick, ticking by slowly. Then, those little red words appeared on my small temporarily granted IMAC computer, “Congratulations, there are seats for you located in Row L, Section 7…

Here’s a nice story how you can be delighted to hold a Madonna concert ticket for a few hours. I am a good example. On Thursday the Paris tickets for 4.9. came on sale. I don’t know how but my computer screen showed me apicture that I had booked a ticket for that show from the ground floor. My heart just jumped right up. Then came the announcement of my number for which I can purchase the ticket. In there was also said that it has to be paid in 48h, but lower in the paper that by cheque I can discuss for later payment settlements. As I don’t have credit card, I chose checks.
In Finland it takes one week to make a check. So I thought I could just make it. But I phoned to the ticket office after the phonelines had got they’re feet back on the ground, just to confirm my ticket and the buying process…They said it like this: “You have to pay the ticket today, there’s a mistake in the internet page. Only credit cards will do” You can’t imagine how my heart was broken. After trying 20 years to see my idol live, this french voice says “We are really sorry“. And I said “Then I have to cancel the ticket”
Later on one of my friends said she could have loaned me her mastercard….is there worse april fool’s day??

I bought my tickets for 19th August 2004 just in case Madonna was not coming to Barcelona or any other city in Spain. Now the news say she may come, but I already have my tickets. Just in case… It would also be an excuse to go on holidays this summer. The experience of having the opportunity to buy two tickets was completely amazing.
A boy from the Spanish Fan Club web page sent a post telling that tickets for another concert in London were available (19th), so I quickly got into the page and I bought two 50 p. tickets… I still don’t believe it.
Finally, if Madonna comes to Spain, I’ll buy two more tickets. I would have the chance to repeat this fantastic moment in my life! Bye!

The past year has not been a great one for me. I was diagnosed with Cancer in my right leg and an agonising 6 months of the blasted chemo was given me. But to all the doctors hard work, chemo just wasn’t enough. My right leg had to be amputated, above the knee…..

I’ve been a Madonna fan since I can remember. The summer of ’99 when i first heard Beautiful Stranger I was in a trance from start to finish. I though to myself, “who is this amazing woman? I should buy on of her albums…”
The rest is pure History.

In August i will be back on my feet(!) to the prediction of my physio so what a way to say “SCREW YOU!” to the past year by seeing my 2nd favourite idol, my mum’s my first!, LIVE!
This will be my first ever concert and i can’t imagine seeing anyone else But M.

So when she steps onto that stage, August the 19th, I will have been reborn again to the thanks of My three M’s: Mum, Madonna and MadonnaTribe!

I was 19 and I had never been to a concert in my whole life, my dream was to see Madonna live and i thought that i would never see her, then the news came out that Madonna’s Drowned World Tour would be coming to Staples Center in Los Angeles where I live, I did everything possible to get a ticket but they sold out in a heartbeat, I could not believe that my only chance was blown away, so I decided to go to a ticketbroker who got me a great seat for the September 11 show which was to be the last show of the tour, I was the happiest men alive, but tuesday September 11 I woke up to horrible news on tv of the attacks on america, the concert was canceled and I thought I would never see my dream come true, later official news said that the concert was to be on Saturday September 15, I went and it was my first concert, and I am happy to have given my concert virginity to Madonna, it was the best show ever!
