“So where do I begin… I think I got to Bercy on the 1st of September at 6… I was so excited I had to get there early… didn’t realize I was THAT early though… the show didn’t start till 9… but who cares… she was brilliant… the crowd was wild…. the smallest change in background music made everyone lose it… there were two massive screens covering the stage… when they brought the dance pit people in everyone was screaming… (lucky bastards)…
Then the lights went out and everyone went CRAZY.Madonna appears on screen and fairouz’s voice started singing in the background and so began The beast within… the screens separate and fall into place at which point Madonna rises in the center… AT THIS POINT EVERYONE IS LOSING IT….in a good way….!!!
Then Vogue starts and merges into Nobody knows me… which had a mind numbing visual which I personally think should be released as a video…. then it goes quite and a heart wrenching version of Frozen begins with Madonna alone at the mic and a dark sexy and kinda violent visual of two lovers…being dirty!! ish…

Then a helicopter noise is heard and it appears on screen..dancers dressed in army gear start crawling on strange and ump and fumble and twist and turn and out of nowhere Madonna appears and starts singing American life while the catwalk that is hanging over the crowd is lowered…
Halfway through the song the headcleaner mix comes in and the pope an Arab a whore and ever other stereotype come parading on stage and up on the catwalk followed by the dancers and Madonna… then everyone stands still on stage and express yourself kicks off with an impressive rifle show.

I am not going to go through the whole concert I am just gonna talk about the things that happened that night that seemed different… Madonna was constantly smiling she looked happy and healthy… she made a comment about France’s banning of red bull “So let me get this right, you people can all smoke in here, but you’re not allowed to drink red bull? I am gonna have to talk to your President“…
Then she kicked off Burning up before which she said she was feeling really hot… then before Material girl she told everyone to sing along with her. She messed up on the second verse and said “See that’s why you need to sing along with me“.
During the electric chair part in die another day she spits BIG TIME on the dancer… that’s all I can think of at this point but I am posting pictures..hope you enjoy…
