Madonna, a QIcon
Just a week after her induction in the UK Music Hall of Fame, Madonna makes her appearance again in a list of Greatest Rock and Roll icons voted by readers of Q magazine
Madonna made the top ten, being the first female singer on the list, at no. 6, with former Beatle John Lennon topping the following list:

2. Elvis Presley
3. David Bowie
4. Keith Richards
5. Kurt Cobain
6. Madonna
7. Bono
8. Bob Marley
9. Joe Strummer
10. Bob Dylan
The full list has been announced in a Q magazine Special Edition in shops from yesterday. The magazine will also be hosting a special photo exhibition to celebrate their QIcons, opening on Dec 3rd, with a special opening night on December 2nd, at The Proud Gallery in North London.
The exhibition will feature classic images of everyone that makes into the final 100 Q Icons, a superb visual treat is going to be specially curated by legendary photographers Pennie Smith, Mick Rock and Gared Mankowitz.
