Don’t ever ever tell her to stop
This is a report from last night’s show in East Rutherford by our friends Barb & Debbie at madonnapolis.com.
Tonight’s final show in Continental Arena in New Jersey was better then last night. Madonna was in a great mood, playfull and very talkative.
She had fun, especially concentrating on picking on some fans in the front who did not stand. A few times during the night, she pointed at the fans and told them to get up. She asked if they were tired.
During her “Crazy for You” dedication to her fans, she changed the wording completely, saying ‘I’m dedicating this song to my fans who stood up all night’. At the end of the song, where she pull off her ‘Kaballists do it better shirt, she folded the shirt into a ball and went to throw the shirt into the stands as far as she could. It landed two feet in front of her. Very funny.
She was playful even with her dancers (sitting on their lap) and Stuart Price (messing his hair). When she finished “Papa Don’t Preach“, she drank water and then took a towel and said ‘let’s make this personal’ and rubbed her arm pits.
There were no mistakes and Madonna was full of energy throughout. Her voice was terrific. The fans were great all night, despite the small few that she singled out, and Madonna fed off their reactions. She also said at the start of “Imagine“, ‘United we stand, divided we fall’. “Don’t Tell Me” was extended again at the end.
Once again the arena was hot, and word is that Madonna tells them to lower or shut off the air conditioner. Nevertheless, we had a great time and Madonna proves once again, she is indeed the greatest female entertainer ever.
Don’t ever ever tell her to stop.
