Simon Cowell, the acid-tongued Englishman spoke again on Madonna:
“If you ask me the No. 1 criterion for being a pop star today, I would say ambition and determination,” he said. “I use Beyoncé as an example. If you look into Beyoncé’s eyes, you’ll see a cold, steely determination. I think you have to have that. It’s what Madonna used to have. I think it’s a compliment.”
