Designer Joy Durham is spreading some holiday sunshine with “Sunshine’s Scarves.” The model, actress and single mom was broke last Christmas and decided to make some homemade gifts for her family, falling back on the crochet skills learned from her grandmother. The hand-created scarves she made were so popular, orders from friends and family started coming in and Sunshine’s Scarves (named for her daughter, Sunshine) was born.

The colorful cloths can now be seen around the necks of Madonna, Reese Witherspoon, Billy Bob Thornton, and Sela Ward.

The scarves retail for $126
