More on Madonna’s 11th UK Number One album

“Celebration” becomes officially the UK number one album this week, marking Madonna’s 11th record to top the chart.

The Queen of Pop now ties with Elvis Presley and they both follow The Beatles and their record of 15 #1 albums.

“Celebration” – the album sold 77,299 copies this week while the single sold some more 21,620 units bringing its total to 63,396 copies.

The single drops from #3 to #8 in its second week in the chart. “It’s So Cool” and “Revolver” also entered the singles chart this week respectively at #107 and #170.
