Meet Maripol and Mark Kamins this Saturday chez Colette

Let’s talk again about Maripolarama, the new interesting book we reported about a few months ago that is now finally coming out in from PowerHouse books. In “Maripolarama” the one and only Maripol reunites her collection of precious polaroids for the first time, including some photographs of her friend Madonna from their early years in New York.

Maripol, who was an iconic leader of the New York scene during the 1980’s, and a friend to virtually every talent of the downtown scene, is also essentially a photographer who was always in the right place at the right time. Largely influenced by the art scene, what once was yesterday becomes today via the images of Maripol.

Colette in Paris will be showing the love by hosting a celebration of Maripol’s new book and giving you a chance to meet the living legend herself on Saturday December 17 from 4pm to 6pm. And as it was not enough, another legend will be there, as DJ Mark Kamins – the producer of Madonna’s first single ever – will be on the turntables at the event.
