 | ''A-Trak producing Madonna’s comeback album'' |
|
|
You would find weird describing a new Madonna record as a "comeback album", unless you're Parisian hip hop and electro producer DJ Mehdi.
"I can’t wait to see N*Sync and the Backstreet Boys getting back together. Oh, and A-Trak producing Madonna’s comeback album," Mehdi told Dummy magazine's Adam Saville who asked him what he was excited about music-wise for the new decade. Check out the full interview here.
Worth mentioning is that A-Track had his own take on the story with the following comment on his Twitter page: "I'm not doing the record it was just a joke that my friend made in an interview."
DJ Mehdi is the second French producer rumoured to be involved in Madonna's first music release under the Live Nation contract. The 32 year old joins David Guetta who, as reported one month ago, told Digital Spy:
"I would love to work with Madonna. It will probably happen very soon actually. It's all in the early stages and I'm not allowed to speak about it yet."

 | Promo video for ''Miles Away'' at Virgin in Paris |
|
|
M-Tribe Community member Yanns was shopping at the Virgin Megastore shop at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris when a promo video for Madonna's "Miles Away" was aired on the video screens.
"The video consists in a mix of professional footage of the Sticky & Sweet performance of "Miles Away" and backstage/behind the scenes clips filmed in black and white.
The audio used for the video seemed to be the radio edit of the song and it was not a live audio recording.
The clip was used as a promotion for Hard Candy. Considering the editing of the video, I assume this is a real promo video from Warner, Live Nation or whoever owns the rights to these images."
As you remember, sources at Warner Music Netherlands mentioned a similar video to be released to promote the "Miles Away" single, but this never materialized... so far.
Thanks to Yanns.

 | Mistinguett, Madonna and Caroline |
|
|
A new album, a series of concert, and a role as a juror in "Grand lifting des tubes", a tv show on TF6. French singer Caroline Loeb is probably best know for her 1987 hit "C'est la ouate", but she never stopped creating and performing since, and this year she's back with "Crime parfait", her new album, and "Mistinguett, Madonna et moi", her new spectacle, a homage to the Music Hall. In her show Caroline reprises "Like A Virgin", clearly inspired by Madonna's Girlie Show rendition of the 1984 single.
You can check out Caroline Loeb's "Like A Virgin" on her MySpace page by clicking here.
