Following the end of the Celebrate video shoot tonight the Madonna dancers left Milan and joined the Sticky & Sweet Tour band in Marseille this morning.
Madonna left the Metropol around midnight last night and the fans selected for the separated extras shoot were let in right after she left the building. Among them, people dressed up with replicas of the "She's Not Me", "Hung Up" and "Like a Virgin" outfits could be noticed.

 | Live in Milan: No Oakenfold in Milan |
|
|
News and updates keep coming from Milan, where rock concerts at the San Siro stadiums are heavily targeted by continuos shifts in local codes and regulations that try to settle disputes and controversies coming from people living nearby the stadium.
The situation is constantly evolving since the announcement on June 12, when Live Nation Italy manager Roberto De Luca decided to put the whole list of Live Nation events for this summer in Milan "on hold" until the results of the meeting held by local authorities were made public.
One week later, the Depeche Mode concert is taking place tonight, and this will be a major test because the band will be forced to play at a reduced level of 78 db.
De Luca has called for a special permission to raise the level up to 80 db - which they consider technically satisfactory - for the next U2 and Madonna concerts,
and said that it's getting virtually impossible to work on the concerts because of an increasing "atmosphere of terror" around the events.
Anyway, the ongoin dispute already made an illustrious victim. Paul Oakenfold will not be Madonna's opening act for the Milan concert anymore, because he is not considered a live performer and therefore it will not be considered as part of the show. De Luca said today he was forced to hire two supporter groups that will perform live before Madonna takes the stage, although he did not reveal who they are.
You can check out the original article on the online website of Corriere della Sera.

 | Live in Milan: Cancellation danger for Sticky Tour in Milano? |
|
|
From an article published today by Il Corriere Della Sera, it seems there might be a problem with forthcoming
concerts scheduled at the Stadio Meazza in Milan, Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet part two" included.
Roberto De Luca, manager of Live Nation Italy, revealed that from last night at 18.00
the whole list of Live Nation events for this summer in Milan has been put "on hold" until the results
of the meeting held by local authorities (about the protests about the huge stadium noises coming from people living nearby)
are made public.
In the meeting, that is going on this morning in Milan, authorities will reportedly deliberate that live
music cannot be played louder than 78 decibel and that everything should terminate at 23:30.
Officers will be placed at the mixing board to check the music levels and will be ready to turn the power off
when the clock strikes 23:30 (supposedly even if a show isn't over).
De Luca told Il Corriere that he prefers to "stop it all" instead of following such rules.
If ultimately Madonna will not play in Milan, after paying months in advance for show tickets with pre-booking fees,
hotel reservations, trains and planes, the fans will be very angry and disappointed!

 | Live in Milan: Another giant Madonna in Milan |
|
|
M-Tribe reader Giovanni sent in these images of another giant Madonna billboard he photographed the other day in the streets of Milan.
This one may not be as gigantic as the one we showed you a few days ago, but it's still definetly huge and eye-catching.
Just like the other one, the billboard is advertising the two Italian concerts for this Summer's leg of the Sticky & Sweet Tour, and the competition held by radio RTL. If you live in Milan, you can find it in Missori. Click on every image to enlarge.

 Thanks to Giovanni.

 | Live in Milan: Giant Madonna in Milan |
|
|
Freshly shot by our friend GIOrGIO at Super-Pop.it come these incredible images of what is certainly one of the biggest Madonna billboards ever built.
This one promotes the contest by Italian radio RTL to win tickets for the Sticky & Sweet Tour concert in Milan on July 14th. And the billboard itself also comes from Milan, placed on the entire side faced of a 10-storey building in Viale Alcide De Gasperi, an inportant avenue a short stroll from the San Siro stadium where Madonna performs this Summer.
"It is huge!" - our friend writes - "So big and almost frightening - pictures don't give it justice and staring at it from below just leaves you speechless! I've never seen Madonna so big!"

 Thanks to GIOrGIO.

 | Live in Milan: Inside San Siro (not Sticky yet) |
|
|
As our Italian readers know by experience or because they just checked the news after the 2009 tour extension was announced, the San Siro stadium in Milan has a typical set up for concerts which is different from the one used in the most part of the European venues.
In fact at San Siro the stage is place in front of one of the longer stands - just like at the Stade Charles Ehrmann in Nice or like some of the South-American Madonna concerts last year.
For those who are wondering about how this affects views and sight lines, there's a great set of images showing a similar set-up you may want to check out at our friend GIOrGIO's Super-Pop blog.
