WWD about Madonna by Tom Munro on the cover of Elle
The online website of Women’s Wear Daily features an interesting report today about how the arrival of ELLE magazine’s new creative director Joe Zee has brought in a fresh look and at the same time made the involvment of longtime creative head Gilles Bensimon gradually subsiding.
In fact Bensimon – who was the man behind the lens for the Elle covers of more than 20 years – did not shoot them for the upcoming April and May issues of the magazine.
As the Tribers well know, this is no other than what MadonnaTribe exclusive reported on February 21, when this website announced the upcoming Elle cover for Madonna, but also revealed the switch behind the camera, as we broke the news about the photographer not being Gilles Bensimon, who did the previous Elle covers with the Queen of Pop, but fashion photographer Tom Munro.
