Peter Rauhofer on big Stars

Grammy-winning DJ Peter Rauhofer has given a short interview last March 3 to the Miami Herald. Founder of New York’s legendary Star 69 record label, Peter remixed songs by the biggest stars in music, including Madonna, the Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode and Jennifer Lopez.

Q: Do legends like Madonna, the Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode approach you to remix their songs, or is it the other way around?

Peter: They approach me. They know what my sound is and what they can expect the remix to sound like. They trust me to make their song playable for as many audiences as possible in the clubs.
