Gold Versace in NYC: the Material Girl has never looked better.
It’s not over for the Madonna-themed backdrop displays in the Versace showrooms around the world. The Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York City has changed iits appearance once again and is now featuring the “golden dress” shot by Mario Testino, as you can see by the pic that comes with the nice story below.
“This photo was so magical that I had to give it it’s own post”, MadonnaTribe reader and contributor John writes in his FrenchTown NJ Blog. “Having just walked out of St. Patrick’s Cathedral on 5th Avenue, crossing the street this is what I saw. I worked for many years as a Visual Merchandiser and Display Artist, and I know what it is like to be in that window on display while you do your job.
My friend asked me if that was Madonna in the backdrop photo and I said that it wasn’t. When I got home and looked at the photo up close I realized that it was indeed Madonna. I have to say that the old material girl has never looked better.”
