Kill Bill Vol. II Soundtrack on Maverick Records

Kill Bill Vol. II, the highly anticipated follow-up to Quentin Tarantino‘s box office hit Kill Bill Vol. I, has hit theatres on April 16th. The soundtrack for Kill Bill Vol. II has also been released April 13th on Maverick Records, once again featuring cutting edge tracks from Johnny Cash, Malcolm McLaren, The RZA and others.

After a wildly successful movie debut last October, Kill Bill Vol. I, which featured Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)”, RZA’s “Ode to Oren Ishii”, “Run Fay Run” by Isaac Hayes and “The Flower of Carnage” by Meiko Kaji among others, also became a huge hit with both fans and critics alike.

Surpassing expectations, the album debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and hit #1 on the Soundtrack chart, staying in the top spot for three straight weeks. In addition, the album was nominated for a 2004 Grammy and has sold over 1 million copies worldwide to date.

Kill Bill Vol. II, starring Uma Thurman, Michael Madsen, Darryl Hannah and David Carradine, as “Bill,” is produced by Bender and Tarantino through A Band Apart.
