It all seems like yesterday not far away…
Our friend from Mexico Gonzo wants to share with fellow Tribers his happy Toronto experience. Here’s his story.
“Hi MadonnaTribe,
my name is Gonzo, I’m from Mexico’s city, Here’s my review of my Madonna experience in Toronto, July 18th. I’m a hardcore Madonna fan since the Who’s That Girl era, been Like A Prayer my fav. CD to date.
Well now what’s matter, the trip!.. Ok, I won’t write that much, (at least I think so), because I would write an entire book, and everytime I remember it I get so excited, because It was really great. I can’t compare this trip with the one I made 3 years ago to see Madonna too, because both were so different, but I can tell you this is an experience I’ll never forget.
First it was our 2 year anniversary. Let me tell you I was so nervous, specially because of the migration stuff, because I got a trauma for what happened 3 years ago, but at the end it was not a problem at all, and we get into Toronto late saturday night. It was at the hotel when I first hugged Chris, and I think this hug has to be one of the most amazing I’ve ever had, because it was like a sign of victore, We’ve done it!!
Then we got to have dinner… we don’t know how but we ended at the gay village! It was fun because here the culture is very different, and that was a spectacle we only see on TV, we even ate some delicious ice cream and returned to the hotel to rest.. We were so tired then.
On sunday we walked and walked… got into some cool stores and finally got to the arena where Madonna was going to play.. it was early so we returned to rest for a while and then we went back to the concert of our lifes.
OMG, I can’t say bad things about Madonna, not only because I am a fan.. but because the WOMAN deserves it, how much energy and how commited she seems to do her job very well. I had two grat hours listening, watching her, enjoying her, and reaffinrming why I am a fan.
I waited so much for this moment and it went so fast.. bit it was so worth it. After the concert Chris and I had another amazing hug, it was like, well that was the best!!
On tuesday we woke up so early, and left the hotel and Toronto. We arrived to Mexico at 13:00, feeling sad because everything had ended, but happy because everything went so good.
I think I’m going to take the advice Madonna gave us at the end of her concert: “Re-invent yourself“. I think I need to do it, and most of all I know I can do it.”
Thanks to Gonzo for sharing his experience with the Tribe. If you too want to share your Re Invention stories, reviews, memorabilia, scans or pics with us, please use our share@madonnatribe.com email address. Thank you!
